Obituary – Frank Dry of Droylsden, Manchester, died in Manchester Royal Infirmary on 25^th March aged 82. Frank was driving the day before to visit his wife Jean in the local Hospice when he had a minor accident then a heart attack, he was taken to the local hospital and then transferred to the Royal where he passed away before they could operate on him.

Frank & Jean were founder members of our Society (English National Old Time Dance Society) and had been members of OTS for many years. They were great supporters of our Society dances and holidays as well as my Old Time Sunday dances in Cheshire for the 20 or so years we were there. They also attended my and other old time dancing holidays and were always keen to lead off a Tango or two.

            Secretary of ENOTDS Mike & Jan, Bernard & Dilys and Sonia & myself travelled to Dukinfield Crematorium on Friday 20^th September to represent our Society at the funeral. Very unfortunately Jean was too poorly to attend and she had been moved to Moss Cottage Nursing Home in Ashton-under-Lyne that day. Her brother John organised the funeral and just 17 mourners attended. It was disappointing that no dancers from local or OTS attended. Our thoughts are very much with Jean at this sad time.
